IAQ has been a buzzword in the HVAC industry for several decades now and it is becoming increasingly more prevalent in residential applications. In an effort to make homes more comfortable and less hazardous for children, the elderly and those susceptable to germs, HVAC suppliers and contractors have placed much more emphasis on educating the consumer on how to eliminate odor, pollutant, pollens and other germs as well as control and maintain humidity.
