After starting in the home of owner Scott Good in April of 2008, Goodco relocated to a 3200 square foot facility at 2551 Carolean Industrial Dr in December of that same year. Shortly thereafter, we reallocated more office space twice to accommodate our growth. Then, on September 30th of 2011, Goodco moved to an 8100 square foot combination office and warehouse space at 1155 Benner Pike; the old home of Comcast. Goodco has become the premier mechanical contractor for both commercial and residential customers in the Centre Region.
Scott Good, Owner and President of Goodco Mechanical Inc. has nearly 28 years of mechanical contracting experience, the last 19 in the State College area helping to build three successful mechanical & electrical contractors.
Scott graduated from Penn State in 1985 with a degree in Architectural Engineering. He then began working as a project manager for one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Washington DC area. In 1993, Scott moved back to State College to start a branch office for a large mechanical contractor headquartered in Harrisburg. His final move before starting Goodco was in 2001 to help build the commercial mechanical, electrical and service businesses for another State College contractor. Goodco Mechanical (started in April 2008) is now one of the fastest growing businesses in State College with a full range of services including commercial and residential HVAC and Plumbing as well as the installation of high-end automatic temperature control systems for businesses and Penn State University. In the summer of 2010, Scott started Energy Stewards, Inc., a company focused on providing energy-efficient lighting solutions for businesses. Total number of employees between the two companies is between 40-45.
Mike Lynn, joins the Good Guys as Residential Manager with over 16 years experience installing, managing and selling residential HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical systems. Mike's attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction makes him a great addition to the team.
Rick Morris, our Sales Engineer, has over 35 years of experience in the Centre Region. His mission is to provide solutions for your heating, air conditioning and plumbing problems. Rick is one of the best mechanical systems experts in this area and he can help you find the right solution for your home or business.
Ray Mills is our Service Manager. Ray's experience in commercial maintenance sales has allowed him to work wih many customers to customize an HVAC maintenance program to suit the individual needs of our clients.
Jared Taylor is responsible for Commercial Project Management and Estimating. Jared has been in involved in the Centre Region in similar capacity for many years and brings along a great customer focus.
Kevin Hamilton provides oversite of Goodco's temperature controls division (formerly Centre Region Mechanicals). His experience and that of his crew make Goodco your best option for commercial building automation and temperature controls.
